2,5,7,8,9,14-Hexaacetoxy-3-benzoyloxy-15-hydroxyjatropha-6(17),11E-diene (Jatrophane 2 ) exhibits significant antifeedant activity against a generalist plant-feeding insect, the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera). Jatrophane 2 also demonstrates the most powerful inhibition of P-gp, higher than R(+)-verapamil and tariquidar in colorectal multi-drug resistant (MDR) cells (DLD1-TxR).

However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

Need more advice on solubility, usage and handling? Please email to: service@chemfaces.com

The packaging of the product may have turned upside down during transportation, resulting in the natural compounds adhering to the neck or cap of the vial. take the vial out of its packaging and gently shake to let the compounds fall to the bottom of the vial. for liquid products, centrifuge at 200-500 RPM to gather the liquid at the bottom of the vial. try to avoid loss or contamination during handling.

Jatrophane diterpenoids from the latex of Euphorbia dendroides and their anti-P-glycoprotein activity in human multi-drug resistant cancer cell lines.[Pubmed: 23079764 ]

    METHODS AND RESULTS:
Thirteen jatrophane diterpenoids (1-10, 13-15), three previously isolated (11, 12, 16) and a known tigliane (17) were isolated from the latex of Euphorbia dendroides. The structures and relative configurations of compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques. The P-glycoprotein (P-gp) inhibiting activities of the representative set of jatrophanes (1-6 and 11-16) have been assessed.
    CONCLUSIONS:
Jatrophane 2 and Jatrophane 5 demonstrated the most powerful inhibition of P-gp, higher than R(+)-verapamil and tariquidar in colorectal multi-drug resistant (MDR) cells (DLD1-TxR).

A new jatrophane diterpenoid from Euphorbia peplus.[Reference: WebLink]
To study the chemical constituents of Euphorbia peplus.
    METHODS AND RESULTS:
Compounds 1-3 were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography,MCI and Sephadex LH-20.Their structures were mainly elucidated by spectroscopic analysis and physicochemical characteristics.Three compounds were identified as euphopeplin A(1),2α,5α,7β,8α,9α, 14β-hexaacetoxy-3β-benzoyloxy-15-hydroxyjatropha-6(17),11E-diene(Jatrophane 2,2)and 5α,8α,9β,10β,14α-pentaacetoxy-3β-benzoy-loxy-15-hydroxypepluane(3).
    CONCLUSIONS:
A new jatrophane diterpenoid, euphopeplin A(1)was isolated from Euphorbia peplus.
