Stimulation of Nerve Growth Factor Production by Diterpenoids Isolated from Plants of Euphorbia Species.[Reference:
WebLink]
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Kansuinin A(Kansuinine A ), ingenol triacetate, and jolkinolide B, diterpenoids isolated from Euphorbia, were found to be potent inducers of nerve growth factor production in L-M cells. Each of these compounds has unique characteristics in the potency of the activity and the range of effective dose.
CONCLUSIONS:
Kansuinin A had the strongest activity, ingenol triacetate had wide-range activity, and jolkinolide B had narrow-range activity.
