Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to
24 months(2-8C).
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

The packaging of the product may have turned upside down during transportation, resulting in the natural compounds adhering to the neck or cap of the vial. take the vial out of its packaging and gently shake to let the compounds fall to the bottom of the vial. for liquid products, centrifuge at 200-500 RPM to gather the liquid at the bottom of the vial. try to avoid loss or contamination during handling.

Actinomyces pneumonicus var. altamicus var. nov., a producer of new altamycin antibiotics.[Pubmed:
942187]
Actinomycete LIA-0788 was isolated from a soil sample.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
By its morphological and cultural features the actinomycete was close to Actinomyces pneumonicus and differed from it in the antibiotic properties. This provided classification of actinomycete LIA-0788 as Act. pneumonicus var. altamicus var nov.
CONCLUSIONS:
The culture produced Altamycin A and altamycin B, new antibiotics. Their physico-chemical characteristics is presented.

Physicochemical properties and structure of the nonmacrolide polyene antibiotic altamycin A.[Pubmed:
3813506]
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Altamycin A, an antibiotic described earlier was classified by its physicochemical and biological properties as belonging to the subgroup of polyenic nonmacrolides. Physicochemical properties of Altamycin A and other representatives of nitrogen-containing polyenic nonmacrolides are presented. It is shown that the molecule of the antibiotic contains D-digitoxose (a sugar).
CONCLUSIONS:
The structure of the antibiotic aglycone was determined by the mass spectra of the oxidative degradation products of perhydroantibiotic, methyl heptahydroantibiotic and methyl permethylperhydroaglycone. Unlike alpha-lipomycin, Altamycin A contains the tetraene system of conjugated methylene bonds.
