WebLink]
METHODS AND RESULTS:
Eight known compounds have been isolated from a culture of the ascomycete Scutellinia ascoboloides.
Their structures have been established as(-)-(4S,8S)-α-bisabolol(1),Pelandjauic acid(2),geranicardic acid(3),(4E,8E,2S,3R,2′R)-N-2′-hydroxyhexadecanoyl-9-methyl-4,8-sphingadienine(4),ergosta-7,22-dien-3-one(5),(22E,24R)-ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraen-3-one(6),ergosta-5,7,22-trien-3β-ol(7),cerevisterol(8) by a spectroscopic analysis.
CONCLUSIONS:
This is the first time that these compounds from this fungus have been reported.
