Vasorelaxing properties and bio-guided fractionation of Cedrelopsis grevei.[Pubmed:
12624830]
METHODS AND RESULTS:
The activity-guided fractionation of the hydroalcoholic extract of trunk bark of Cedrelopsis grevei led to the isolation of five coumarins, Norbraylin (1), methyl-O-cedrelopsin (2), cedrecoumarin A (3), scoparone (4) and braylin (5) as a part of the constituents responsible for the vasorelaxing activity observed for the crude extract.

Coumarins from Cedrelopsis grevei (Ptaeroxylaceae).[Pubmed:
12453517]
METHODS AND RESULTS:
The stem bark of Cedrelopsis grevei Baill. has yielded the first reported examples of 5-prenylated coumarins, cedrecoumarin A and B as well as the known coumarins, cedrelopsin, scoparone, O-methylcedrelopsin and Norbraylin, and the known chromones ptaeroglycol and ptaeroxylinol.
