From Scutellaria alpina L., two new flavones (I and II) were isolated, together with eighteen known flavonoids.
METHODS AND RESULTS:
The structures of I and II were shown to be 5, 2', 6'-trihydroxy-6, 7, 8-trimethoxyflavone and 5, 5", 6, 6", 7, 7"-hexahydroxy-8, 8"-biflavone(8,8''-Bibaicalein on the basis of the chemical and spectral data. Compound I has already been synthesized.
