Providing storage is as stated on the product vial and the vial is kept tightly sealed, the product can be stored for up to 24 months(2-8C).

Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20C. Generally, these will be useable for up to two weeks. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.

Need more advice on solubility, usage and handling? Please email to: service@chemfaces.com

The packaging of the product may have turned upside down during transportation, resulting in the natural compounds adhering to the neck or cap of the vial. take the vial out of its packaging and gently shake to let the compounds fall to the bottom of the vial. for liquid products, centrifuge at 200-500 RPM to gather the liquid at the bottom of the vial. try to avoid loss or contamination during handling.

In vitro antiviral activity of dammar resin triterpenoids.[Pubmed: 2828553]

    METHODS AND RESULTS:
Nine triterpenes with antiviral activity against Herpes simplex virus types I and II in vitro were isolated from dammar resin. Each compound caused a significant reduction in viral cytopathic effect when Vero cells were exposed continuously to 1-10 micrograms/ml of compound for 48 h after viral challenge.
    CONCLUSIONS:
The triterpenes were identified as dammaradienol [1], dammarenediol-II [2], hydroxydammarenone-I [3], ursonic acid [5], hydroxyhopanone [11], dammarenolic acid [15], Shoreic acid [16], eichlerianic acid [17], and a novel compound, hydroxyoleanonic lactone [7], on the basis of their chromatographic, spectroscopic, and physical properties.

An antimicrobial triterpene from Shorea guiso.[Reference: WebLink]

    METHODS AND RESULTS:
The dichloromethane extract of the air-dried leaves of Shorea guiso, a critically endangered Philippine tree, afforded Shoreic acid (1) by column chromatography. The structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy.
    CONCLUSIONS:
Compound 1 exhibited antibacterial activity against E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and B. subtilis with activity indices (AI) of 0.2, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.4, respectively. It also showed antifungal activity against C. albicans and T. mentagrophytes with AI of 0.2 and 0.3, respectively. It was inactive against A. niger.

Preparative Isolation of Antimycobacterial Shoreic Acid from Cabralea canjerana by High Speed Countercurrent Chromatography[Reference: WebLink]

    METHODS AND RESULTS:
High speed countercurrent chromatography (HSCCC) was used to isolate the dammarane type triterpene Shoreic acid from the dichloromethane extract of leaves of Cabralea canjerana, which showed activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A preparative scale-up of the process was also developed.
