    Dammarane-type saponins from Ziziphus jujube.[Pubmed: 24350983]

    METHODS AND RESULTS:
Two new dammarane-type saponins Jujuboside D and E, together with three known compounds, were isolated from the seeds of Ziziphus jujube. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence.
    CONCLUSIONS:
    Compounds 1-5 showed lipoxygenase-inhibiting activity.
